A white page only works while it opens. A domain can expire, hosting can go down, an SSL certificate can lapse, and a registrar can put its own parking page on the domain. People usually find out too late: from moderation or from a sudden drop in stats. Now we watch for this ourselves: domain monitoring is live in your dashboard.
How to turn it on
- Open your profile and turn on the Domain monitoring switch.
- Connect the Telegram bot in the same profile if you have not yet. Without it, the status is visible only in the log on the site.
- Fill in Target Domain in a new order.
When that order completes, its domain goes on monitoring. The feature is free.
Monitoring covers only orders that complete after you turn it on. Older orders are not added automatically, so domains you stopped using long ago stay out of the log.
What we check
Every 10 minutes we open the domain's home page the way a visitor would. HTTPS first, and HTTP if HTTPS does not answer.
- Until the site answers for the first time, we wait quietly. You may not have uploaded it yet. If the site never comes up within 30 days, the checks stop.
- When the site answers for the first time, you get an "is up" message, and real monitoring starts from that point.
- A site counts as down after 3 failed checks in a row, about 30 minutes. A hosting blip of a couple of minutes does not raise an alert.
- When the site opens again, you get a "back up" message.
A Cloudflare browser check counts as a working site, because visitors get through it.
A parking page counts as down too
When a domain expires, the registrar often shows its own "domain for sale" page. Technically the site answers, but your white page is gone.
So once we have seen your generated site on the domain, we remember it. If a different page shows up there later, it counts as down with the reason "shows a different site".
What the message says
The Telegram message is short: the domain and the reason, for example:
- the domain does not resolve: no DNS record, or the domain has expired;
- the SSL certificate is invalid or expired;
- the server refuses connections or does not answer in time;
- the server returned an error, for example HTTP 500 or 403;
- too many redirects;
- the domain shows a different site.
The reason tells you where to look right away: the registrar, DNS, SSL settings or the hosting.
The domain log
Your profile has a Domain log page with:
- every watched domain with its status: Working, Not working or Waiting for the site;
- the time of the last check and its result in plain words;
- when the site was last up and which order the domain came from;
- an event feed: when the domain was added, went live, went down and recovered.
Remove a domain with Stop watching. If a domain stays down for 30 days in a row, the checks stop on their own. A new order for that domain starts them again.
What monitoring does not do
We check that the site opens and that it is your white page. We cannot see your ad account status or moderation decisions. If the white page opens but keeps getting rejected, read why white pages get rejected and go through the pre-launch checklist.
